To travel around on the ground the equivalent distance to the altitude of a GPS satellite, which is 10988 nautical miles, 20350 kilometers, or 12645 statute miles!  This was completed on 12/28/2012, so now this coin wants to travel back to Earth a further 12645 miles and end up in Houston, Texas for me to pick up!
