Current Goal

You have found something special!  Inside this container is raw iron ore taken from the mines of the Cuyuna Range.  From this same location, the U.S. Air Force began its space explorations!  I challenge you to learn more as you send this trackable from cache to cache.

About This Item

Ore from the Cuyuna Range and the TB

http://stratocat.com.ar/fichas-e/1957/CBY-19570819.htm Project Man High II - a historic event on the Cuyuna Range is described at this link.

http://www.miningartifacts.org/CuyunaRange.html Mining on the Cuyuna Range - the story of our minig era.  Although mining has ended, our area has thrived from what was left behind.  We have been blessed with crystal clear, deep pit lakes which are great for scuba diving, snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.  With the rough terrain around the edges, the Cuyuna Range now offers world-class mountain biking as well as a paved bicycle trail.

I hope you enjoy this trackable and learning a little about the area I call home.
