About This Item

Bullet's Big Adventure

Unfortunately, Bullet was so excited to start his travels that he left his bones in another cache. Please help Bullet find his bones. Everytime Bullet is placed into a cache together with "Bullet's Bones TB" I'll add the cachers name and date they put the two bugs together. HOWEVER...If you happen upon both TBs in the same cache, please take only one to start the hunt all over again. NOTE: One or the other TBs must log a minimum of 100 miles total travel distance from their last reunion before credit will be given!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------CONGRATULATIONS TO: "aroundthehorn" who placed "Bullet's Bones TB" into "End of the Road" with "Bullet's Big Adventure TB" on 8/14/2004 The "Bullet's Bones TB" traveled 9398 miles, while the "Bullet's Big Adventure TB" logged 1663 miles. I can't think of a more appropriate cache name than "End of the Road" for Bullet and his Bones to reunite.

Retrieve It from a Cache 10/11/2004 AuntieNae retrieved it from The Great Sub Chase Wisconsin   Visit Log

Your Travel Bug returned home with mefrom “The Great Sub Chase” event held in Manitowoc WI by members of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association. We never traded bugs, just too many sub caches to chase!

This series of caches has a “bad” reputation for being very tough to impossible finds, miles of bushwhacking, and being many miles apart.

With 27 caches, each representing a submarine made during WW2 in Manitowoc, we did find the hides to be challenging but not impossible. Our team completed all 27, in 18 hours and 400 + miles (that does not include our drive time to and from Manitowoc). We also started on the leg work to complete the final 28th cache. It just got too dark and I think we got too tired to think anymore at that point. We suspect that we were the only team who accomplished all the caches which is so cool.

If you are near enough to Wisconsin, you might want to come try the series!

Most of the caches were micros, the caches that were ammo boxes were in quite out of the way places that I decided I would rather place yours in a more traveled cache!

😛 When Bullet saw me take his bones TB from this cache, he begged me to take him too. He wagged and woofed, and I knew he'd enjoy the ride home and the one next weekend to a caching event. camp637 Pat and Jim KB9RGU

Bullet really seemed to be enjoying the Starry, Starry Night cache but he was wagging his tail and begging for treats so I figured I had better take him for a ride.
