To travel the world, ALWAYS GOING EAST. Charlotte wants to take "the long way home" and visit lots of caches as QUICKLY as possible, as she makes her way back home to Bec (who is ill) in Victoria Australia - "The Bells" by Mark and Bec, GC19AF. Please try to make sure this bug doesn't stay out of circulation longer than 7 days. Thank you. A reminder: Write down Charlotte's TB number so you can log her after she's been placed.
Charlotte the CACHE Bear is the sister of GEOrge the CACHE Bear. Both bears were handmade by Bec. Unfortunately, Bec has cancer but would like to see one of her bears travel around the world. Now she has the chance to watch Charlotte's adventures.
As of today, GEOrge the CACHE Bear is still in a cache in Vietnam where he's been for quite some time. Charlotte wants to go where GEOrge hasn't gone. You can read about GEOrge's misadventures on embi's page. embi sent Charlotte to us here in the U.S.A. via airmail - the first 8,265 miles of her journey.
Charlotte has a GPSr with her (home coordinates and waypoint included so she won't get lost), thanks to GizmoDave.
We asked Markwell for a little assistance and he sent us a nifty template for a TB card (with step-by-step instructions on "how to log a travel bug") that we created and attached to Charlotte.
We extend our thanks to all involved with getting Charlotte on her way. Thanks Bec, embi, Dave, and Markwell!
We hope to bring Bec some joy watching Charlotte's travels as she battles cancer. If you can help, please move Charlotte along. Thank you.
Cachemere of Team "OFF RODE"
P.S. Sadly, Bec's battle ended on August 24, 2002; however, we still hope Charlotte will finish her journey & return to Mark (embi). Rest in peace Bec and God bless.

I decided to liberate her from the University of Kentucky blue invasion cache. She's recoperating in a nice safe University of Louisville home to get her strength up before she continues the journey.

I've gotten her back from my travelling friend and I'm looking for a local Travel Bug hotel to place her in here in Kentucky.

I hope we can get her back soon so i can take charlotte and put her on to Bec's grave. Its been awhile now and I think its time she came home. Maybe sending Charlotte straight to me is the best way.

Another year+ has passed and still no Charlotte in a cache. This is NOT what we envisioned when we gave Esper Ranger permission to take her to Japan more than 2 years ago.
It seems she may be lost to the Geocaching world, which is very sad. It also seems her appearances in the online strip FuzzyKnights is over since LARP is on hiatus.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope that someday she ends up in a cache so that she can continue her journey home to embi.

We gave permission for Charlotte the CACHE Bear to be out of circulation for a while back on November 3, 2003. We were told she would spend some time in Japan and was expected to travel to England in the summer of 2004. Well, since it's been over a year we had nearly given her up for lost. Such appears not to be the case. She made another appearance at the Fuzzy Knights on December 3, 2004. Maybe she is finally leaving Japan and will show up in a cache soon. Let's hope so. She's been out of circulation WAY TOO LONG!
