Back 2 School Bear

I created Back 2 School Bear because Matt - one of my best friends - is going back to college in his 30's. He had to retire from a lucrative programming career due to repetitive stress injuries. Now he's in school full time, studying to be a teacher. I admire his sacrifice and hard work and I hope that the stories Back 2 School Bear collects will encourage him.

Retrieved this guy from Nature Rocks. Has he really been wandering around since 2004?!? Wow, he is still in great condition - clean, green, and still wearing a big smile.

Several years ago, I returned to college to get my teaching certificate when my employer downsized and I found myself abruptly sprung free at 50 years of age. I am thoroughly enjoying my switch from the business world to the first grade classroom. I recently returned to UTSA to get my Masters in Educational Leadership ... to open up the possibility of progressing to Vice Principal or Principal someday.

Will drop by the campus to take a photo and then will place him in one of our caches that is right around the corner from there.
