Current Goal

My goal is to visit caches with "river" in their name

About This Item

When I discovered geocaching, the first cache I found (on Nov 23, 2002) was Riverside Cache.

In mid Nov of 2003, as I approached the one year mark, I found this new, uncirculated bug in Riverwalk 4. A local cacher liked the unique container and camo job so much he was inspired to leave this new bug tag as an equally unique trade item.

So...The tag was attached to a rock collected from the shore of the Cedar River about 100 yards from the Riverside cache. It was released into the Riverside cache on my one year anniversary with a goal of visiting as many other "River" caches as possible. Please help him along in his journey.

Update 23-Nov-2004
Well, River Rock has been "in the wild" for a year and is doing well. He only made it to 18 caches this year, but he traveled over 3000 miles. Not bad for a rock!

Update 23-Nov-2005
Poor River Rock didnt have such a good year. To be honest, Id forgotten about him. Now it doesnt seem likely he will resurface. Oh Well...That has been my luck with TBs.

Update 23-Nov-2006
MIA

Update 23-Nov-2007
WOW! After more than two years MIA River Rock is back in the game! And doing pretty well all things considered.

Update 23-Nov-2008
About 1300 miles, and all of it in Canada. Not a bad year for a bug that was out of the game for so long.

Update 23-Nov-2009
A good year, 1985 miles, but he has been sitting for a long time now.

Cache log entry indicates someone physically took the TB up on 8/18/2009 but they have not logged the grab nor logged the TB into another cache. Email to the person has gone unanswered. Ah Well....not the first time River Rock has been out exploring the world without anyone knowing where he is.

Well, River isn't in the name of the cache. But it is very close to a river . . . . I believe it's the Fraser River.
