I am sending this South Africa flag Geocoin out into the world in honor of my friend Gerhard Schaap. He is a radio presenter for East Rand Stereo 93.9 in Springs, Gauteng. We connected in 2011, when he started following me on Twitter. I started listening to his radio show and was introduced to a lot of great music from South African and European artists I had never heard of before. We struck up a friendship through Twitter and Facebook, and he has become a dear friend. In fact, I've often referred to him as the best friend I've never met, though I do hope I will get to meet him in person someday.
