Current Goal

To try not to get lost in my geocoin collection and also to comemmorate me taking part in the Geocaching Road Trip promotion during the summer of 2015.

I got a nano coin instead of a normal sized coin just to be different and to give trackable discoverers an extra icon on their trackable list. wink

About This Item

15years

In celebration of Geocaching's 15-year anniversary in 2015, they had a special souvenir promotion during the summer: 6 different souvenirs added to your profile for finding 5 caches (and the 6th souvenir would be unlocked once you found the 5). I already knew I would be out of state once the first of the souvenirs became available, so I set a goal to find the 5 caches in 5 different states. enlightened Be sure to view this coin's map to see where all my 5 finds were located!

  • On June 19, the first official day of the promotion (and my last full day of my North Dakota vacation), I earned the "Fun With Favorites" souvenir for finding a cache with 10+ favorite points: Welcome To Minnesota in Moorhead, MN
  • On July 20, I earned the "Let's Get Extreme" souvenir for finding a cache with a difficulty and/or terrain rating of 5: LIBC #4: The Liar's Cache in Greensboro, NC
  • On July 25, I earned the "Meet Your Road Trip Crew" souvenir for attending an event: A Trackable Discovery Party In The Woods in Newberry, SC
  • On August 4, I earned the "High-Five for the Earth" souvenir for doing an earthcache: French Broad Watershed at Douglas Lake near Dandridge, TN
  • Finally, on August 14, I earned the "Put Your Thinking Cap On" souvenir for solving a puzzle cache: "Colby, What Day Is It?" in Augusta, GA
