Had a great day caching in Columbia, MS! Part of the KoolKidz Team (us—TeamHawkeye27 aka T.H.E.27—and the NorthShoreHunters) made the trip, though we missed Leatherandlace & Infoxicating this time around. Our outing to grab some of SirDrumalot’s hides didn’t disappoint—lots of laughs, teamwork, and plenty of stories shared along the way.
SirDrumalot really put some thought and creativity into these caches. Each one was unique and fun in its own way, and it’s always exciting when you never quite know what kind of container or hide you’re about to uncover. More than once, we paused just to admire the clever setups before signing the log.
The highlight of the day came when SirDrumalot himself caught up with us while we were in search of one of his caches—it was such a great pleasure to meet him in person! Always a treat to meet a CO whose work we’ve been enjoying out in the field.
As a former Navy wife, this one holds special meaning to my heart. ❤️
Also grabbed a few TBs from Veterans Letterbox and nearby caches to help them on their way toward Denver. I’ll be making a trip there soon to visit the new grandbaby, and in the meantime I’ll let them visit a few more caches before reaching their destination.
Big thanks to SirDrumalot for keeping the game fresh and fun, and for giving us another day of great caching memories. Days like this are exactly what make geocaching so special—friends, fun, and a little adventure mixed in!
And the Biggest Thanks to your DAD for his service! Thank you sir for assisting in our freedom!
