gEE o'Coin

To  travel  safely is all I ask.

You may think this a simple and maybe boring mission but so  so many bugs, and special expensive coins are being  stolen  or marked as 'missing'.

This is very upsetting for us bug owners who have spent time, effort and money setting up these trackables for the pleasure of not only ourselves, but for other cachers to find and retrieve from caches, all over the world! 

So  a simple mission it is folks, but an important message... please look after this very special coin, enjoy it, but keep it safe and on the move. Perhaps a photo or two could be added to your log, so  we can all follow the adventure.

If taken to events please ensure it is logged both in and out correctly  as several bugs have gone to meets and then have simply vanished!

A very heavy and special coin. The front is in gold and red, with  a cachers best friend, an ammo can in  the centre top. The coin has the words GEO-AWARDS around the top, over a golden Laurel wreath Across the centre is an  inscription "For Services to Geocaching" 

The reverse has  the same colouring, and shows the tracking number. A beautiful golden scroll has the inscription, "The Wonderful Wibsey Wench From EE and G. It also has many words printed on it which  are very well known to us cachers!

You may know who  EE and G are if you are local  to the Gloucester area, they place wonderful caches for us to  find and hold the most marvellous, and memorable milestone events. Always cheerful and welcoming it is always a pleasure to have an event of theirs in the calendar! 

The latest masterpiece was on International Geocaching  Day 15.8.15, GC604RJ, another cracking  and fun  event. The theme was Hubble Bubble, nothing  to  do with witches, but actual bubbles. Gloucester docks have never seen  as many bubbles in 30 minutes! We all came very  well prepared.....

EE and G [Janet and Gordon] had recently returned from Canada and I was so pleased to  see them looking well and rested. G had promised me via mails that he had a gift for me... had he smuggled a Mountie home in his hand luggage for me I wondered? Well no, but what this marvellous couple had bought for me was this simply stunning coin. 

I wanted to run around and dance for joy, but managed to keep myself in check and said a very big  thankyou. To  say  this couple are kind and thoughtful is an understatement, they  are treasures and we are lucky to know them and count them  as friends and caching buddies.
