Pumbaa is trying to visit each state east of the Mississippi River before his buddy Timon visits each state to the west (both want to visit Louisiana since it is on both sides of the river).

 

Pumbaa loves to have his picture taken, especially at places that say where he is (like state capitols and "Welcome To..." signs).

Timon and Pumbaa are best friends, they do everything together....Well almost everything, because what are best friends without a little friendly competition.    So Timon and Pumbaa have gone their seperate ways for a while.
