"Hi, my name is Baldy. I belong to a family who lives in Chino Hills, California (photos below). My goal is to have my photo taken with other kids and/or historical sites from as many STATES as possible in the country. Eventually, I'd even like to make my way to Washington, D.C. I would also be grateful for ANY additional photos of friends and views I enjoy along the way. My family would LOVE to learn about the beauty of our great country and it's people thru postings of my experiences on the road. In December 2007, please return me to: P.O. Box 758, Glendora, CA 91740-0758."
In the spirit of learning ... American Bald Eagles are members of the hawk family, found in all parts of North America near water. They feed chiefly on dead fish and rodents. Their wing's span up to 7-1/2 feet. They are solitary birds, said to have one mate for life. They build a nest nest of twigs and sticks at a vantage point high in a tree or on a cliff. Nests can become enormous, measuring up to 10 feet across. The American Bald Eagle became the national emblem of the United States by act of Congress in 1782.

We took the girls in to NYC for their birthdays and decided this would have been a good home for Baldy. Sorry it took so long to upload these photos, but we're still new to this! Had a lot of fun with this TB - kids really enjoyed taking him places and photographing him with their friends. Happy trails, Baldy!

This was our first find as our own team with our own GPS. We took our new toy to Martha's Vineyard for the day and found Baldy at the Friendly Cache.
It was our second search of the day - the first left us unsatisfied and full of self doubt. Then we found Baldy! And the world is round again!

Baldy is seen here on the bank of the Connecticut River. Springfield Masssachusetts is on the other side. Baldy flew over for a quick tour of the city.

Early spring is maple sugar time here in New England. Baldy stopped by The Red Bucket Sugar Shack in Worthington, MA. to see how maple sugar is made. It takes 4 maple trees which are over 40 years old to produce 40 gallons of sap which will produce 1 gallon of syrup. Pancakes anyone?

While visiting the great Kaintuck Natural Bridge cache we found Baldy enjoying the early spring scene. We were heading his way so he tagged along for the ride back. Now he is here in Westfield, Massachusetts. I'll show him around a bit and take some photos of him near some intersting places nearby. He was a little damp but he dried out nicely!
