About This Item

Jack's Signal Black Building Block Trackable

RE-RELEASED AGAIN AS A PROXY ON 10/1/22 AFTER GOING INACTIVE WITH A GEOCACHER THAT HAD RETRIEVED IT OVER 16 MONTHS AGO, AND NEVER RESPONDED TO INQUIRIES REGARDING ITS STATUS!!  IT HAD TRAVELED ABOUT 3,614 MILES SINCE THE LAST PROXY WAS ISSUED BEFORE IT WENT INACTIVE AFTER BEING RETRIEVED NEAR NORWICH, KANSAS!!

RE-RELEASED AS A PROXY ON 7/13/19 AFTER MISSING FOR OVER 2 YEARS.  IT HAD TRAVELED 13,061 MILES BEFORE IT DISAPPEARED IN BELGIUM!!

This Signal the Frog Trackable LEGO® Building Brick is black and was initially placed by PopPop (azdave1) and Grammie (geogrammie) for their grandson Jack Venezia in a cache in Las Cruces NM.  They have visited Legoland many times with all of their grandchildren, Gabby, Sophie, Sam and Jack.  Jack wants this brick to travel the world and visit every continent and for geocachers to use it to build new toys.

It is 48mm long and 16mm square on end, so it fits easily in small containers.

About Lego

The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well".  The LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The company has passed from father to son and is now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder.

It has come a long way over the past almost 80 years - from a small carpenter’s workshop to a modern, global enterprise that is now, in terms of sales, the world’s third-largest manufacturer of toys.

The LEGO brick is their most important product. It has been named twice – “Toy of the Century”. The product have undergone extensive development over the years – but the foundation remains the traditional LEGO brick.

The brick in its present form was launched in 1958. The interlocking principle with its tubes makes it unique, and offers unlimited building possibilities. It's just a matter of getting the imagination going – and letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge.

About Signal the Frog

If you spend a bit of time geocaching, chances are you'll see a frog with an antenna attached to his head. This is Signal the Frog, the official Geocaching mascot.

History

Signal was created in the early days of Geocaching.com as a way to represent the combination of technology and nature. Since then, Signal has become beloved by the geocaching community and appears on geocaching-related gear, trackables—and even in-person at some Mega-Events. If you see him, make sure to give him a high-five and discover his tracking code.

But Why a Frog?

If you'll notice, Signal isn't just a frog, he's a frog with an antenna attached to his head. We searched through the animal kingdom and we couldn't find any other antenna-enabled animals besides Signal, so the choice was easy.
