This TB is part of a race between the six different chess pieces, to see which one moves fastest from New York to the cache Checkmate (GC6TRXQ) in Bærum, Norway. The six chess piece TBs are
The chess pieces will all be dropped in New York during the 2016 World Chess Championship between Magnus Carlsen from Norway and Sergey Karjakin from Russia. Each TB will try to find its way to the final destination before the other ones, to determine which chess piece is the fastest and most targeted traveller.
The Bishop's race advantages
The Bishop can move fast and surprisingly from one corner of the board to the opposite corner in only one move. As a pair, the Bishops are particularly strong, completing each other.
The Bishop's race disadvantages
A Bishop cannot move everywhere - in fact one Bishop can never reach more than half of the fields on the board. The Bishop can never move straight forward on its target like the Rook, the Queen, the Pawn or the King - it always moves along the diagonals.
