Naar Praag reizen, waar het Mucha museum is, en daarna weer terug naar Groningen, Nederland, met dank aan Kottici die de TB op 12-1-2024 meegenomen heeft naar het Mucha Museum in Praag.

Art Nouveau is an international style of art, architecture and applied art, especially the decorative arts, that was most popular between 1890 and 1910. A reaction to the academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants, but also in curved lines.

This coin is based on the art of Alphons Mucha, a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist, known best for his distinct style. He produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, and designs.

Mucha produced a flurry of paintings, posters, advertisements, and book illustrations, as well as designs for jewelry, carpets, wallpaper, and theatre sets in what was termed initially The Mucha Style but became known as Art Nouveau (French for "new art"). Mucha's works frequently featured beautiful young women in flowing, vaguely Neoclassical-looking robes, often surrounded by lush flowers which sometimes formed halos behind their heads. In contrast with contemporary poster makers he used pale pastel colors.

Art Nouveau is een stijl van kunst die in populariteit piekte op de drempel van de 20e eeuw. Het wordt gekenmerkt door organische, vooral bloemen en andere plantaardige geïnspireerde motieven, evenals zeer gestileerde, vloeiende vormen.

Deze  coin is sterk beïnvloed door de Tsjechische kunstenaar Alphons Mucha. In 1887 vertrok Mucha uit zijn geboorteland naar het toenmalige broeinest van de kunst: Parijs. Zeven jaar later, in 1894 brak hij door met een affiche voor het toneelstuk Gismonde, met de Franse actrice Sarah Bernhardt in de hoofdrol. Zij was de ster van het Parijse theater. Zijn werk bestond voornamelijk uit affiches maar hij maakte ook decors, meubelen, kostuums en juwelen. De affiches werden toentertijd zelfs van de straat geroofd. Zijn stijl kenmerkt zich door de sierlijke lijnen, frisse pastelkleuren en weelderige motieven.
