About This Item

Sprocket gears

Description: I work making gears after retirement... fun and nerdy job!!  We have three kinds of gears I manufacture (Sprockets, Coarse, Fine).  Sprocket gears move chain that connects to other sprockets that turn things.   Coarse gears (32 pitch by the factory name) have bigger teeth and grab each other and turn gears turning gears.  Fine gears (48 pitch) are smaller teeth but a lot more for the gear than the coarse gear.
