In kanak culture (New Caledonia), an animal or a natural phenomenon could be a manifestation to an ancestor. Lot of artists tell their culture and beliefs through wood or soap-rock sculptures. All official buildings, hotels and cultural centers are adorned. Kanaky ToTem went to discover art of other countries and keep souvenir photograph to its travel.
