This TB would like to visit the 'Area 51' located in Nevada, USA. Once arrived please take a picture of the TB in front of some evidence (like a 'Restricted Area' sign) and save it with your log. If a log shows the photo of evidence the TB's mission is fullfilled - please take the TB back to Germany then. Photos of the TB's journey are very welcome.

Area 51 ist ein militärisches Sperrgebiet im südlichen Nevada (USA). Innerhalb des großen Luftwaffenübungsgeländes Nellis befindet sich eine zusätzlich gesicherte militärische Anlage, deren bloße Existenz von der amerikanischen Regierung bis vor wenigen Jahren geheim gehalten wurde. Die Air Force testet dort neue experimentelle Flugzeuge. Um den Komplex ranken sich viele Verschwörungstheorien, vor allem bezüglich der Existenz Außerirdischer auf der Militärbasis.

Area 51 ist ein Gebiet von etwa 103 km² in Lincoln County, Nevada, 112,5 km nordnordwestlich von Las Vegas. Den größten Teil davon macht das Emigrant Valley aus. Es wird von den Groom- und Papoose-Gebirgszügen eingerahmt. Zwischen den beiden Gebirgen liegt der Groom Lake, ein ausgetrockneter Salzsee von etwa fünf Kilometern Durchmesser.

Area 51 (currently known as Air Force Flight Test Center, Detachment 3 and also known as Dreamland, Watertown Strip, Paradise Ranch, The Box, Groom Lake) is a remote tract of land in southern Nevada, owned by the United States Air Force, containing an airfield whose primary purpose is the secret development and testing of new military aircraft. It is famed as the subject of many UFO conspiracy theories.

Area 51 is a section of land of approximately 60 square miles (155 km²) in Lincoln County, Nevada, USA. It is part of the vast (4,687 square mile [12,139 km²]) Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). The area consists largely of the wide Emigrant Valley, framed by the Groom and Papoose mountain ranges (to the North and South respectively) and the Jumbled Hills to the East. Between the two ranges lies Groom Dry Lake (37°16'05?N, 115°47'58?W), a dry alkali lake bed 3.67 miles long by 3.01 miles wide. A large air base exists on the southwest corner of the lake (37°14'N 115°48'W) with two concrete runways, one of which extends onto the lake bed, and four unpaved runways on the lake bed itself.

Given this TB to a friend who's travelling to France for the Easter holidays. It's already in France now and hopefully will be placed in a cache (GCZVYY) some time in the next week.

He doesnt have a GPS himself but I've printed off the cache details and spolier photos so he should be able to find it!

Found this in the South End of Burro Schmidt Tunnel cache near Ridgecrest, Ca. Very cool travel bug. I see it has completed it's mission so it is going to go on a 5,000 mile journey very soon. I'll get it closer to home this week.
