My name is Goose, and I am a Border Collie. Now, we are known for our work ethic and intelligence (rated almost the best by you humans), but I have recently begun to wonder if there may be something wrong with me. I can't seem to work up any enthusiasm for herding cows, sheep ...or even ducks. Squirrels are a waste of time and energy. I don't want to help pick up around the house or find lost things like my sister does. The only thing that is uppermost in my mind every second of every day is "MY BALL"...oh my wonderful, tasty, mouth-satisfying "BALL". The funnest thing is when my human throws my ball away and I get to bring it back. I even love getting it out of a pool or a mud puddle. She tries to trick me by throwing many balls at once, but I am never fooled. My ball has my spit on it and of course it smells 'just right", even when it is covered in dirt and grass. About the only other thing I like to do is a relay game called Flyball, that I play with three other friends and their humans. We get to run very fast over jumps (I am pretty fast) and catch a ball that flies out of a box, and then run back to our human with the ball. I don't get to use MY BALL of course, but it is still sort of fun. What I want to know is am I normal, or do I have canine OCD? Could you take me to other places so I can meet different dogs and discuss my concerns? I would be most grateful for your help!
