Current Goal

Kailash Kora's mission is to travel from Germany (her home cache is named "Himalya-Horst") to Mount Kailash in Tibet and back. Kora ultimately wants to be taken on a path around the mountain as many times as possible. Actually that trip is called a "Kora" as well. After 13 rounds it would be nice to come home and tell the story!
Kora likes mountains and friendly people. So if anyone see her close to one or the other, please post a photo! When you help Kora to travel, it would be nice to put her into caches that are highly frequented. But if you know someone who will travel in the right direction (to teh Himalayas or back to Germany) it is also OK to keep her for a few days or even weeks.

About This Item

The travel bug itself his a handmade charm from Nepal, but it is not precious (less than 2$!), so there is really no point trying to sell it. It actually already lost one Tibetan letter, before it went on the journey.

G'Day My Fellow Geocacher,

I’m DARKSIDEDAN aka Daniel from Canberra, Australia and I have had the pleasure of finding your Trackable Item during my travels as a Geocacher. I have added this trackable to my growing list of discovered items.

I love discovering Geocaches, Trackable items and collecting Pathtags. I hope that you enjoy Geocaching as much as I do. For me geocaching is a way of life. When I am not Geocaching, I am thinking of Geocaching. I would like to say a very big thank you for releasing your trackable for the Geocaching Community.

Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since 2015. At the time of finding this cache I have over 7100 finds plus 640 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega 2019 in Wollongong, Australia.

Now let’s talk Pathtags. Currently I have over 8600 Pathtags in my collection plus about 500 Etagz. I currently have five of my own Pathtags including 45762 & 46950 with another one in the works. In 2019, I won the right to place a Virtual 2.0 Cache from Geocaching.com, but I have not placed it yet. I am just trying to find somewhere that is worthy of a Virtual Cache.

Here is an Original and One of a Kind, Geocaching Poem that I have written. I hope that everyone who reads it gets some enjoyment out of it.

Geocache Poem by DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
