Current Goal

Just 364 days after starting his journey, Happy arrived at his destination, "Hinterm Froschteich / Behind the frog pond" (GCNVNA), in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, and was picked up by our geocaching friends, The Potracers. Now Happy's mission is to enjoy his new home with his new-found friends.

As can been seen in the pictures in Happy's photo gallery, Happy is indeed a very happy frog. No matter what the weather, he enjoys traveling, and, being friendly, he enjoys the company of humans and other TBs.

Happy has celebrated peaceful Christmas and is sending Christmas and New Year greetings from Oberhaching, South of Munich to Pennsylvania. He'd like to tell his owners that three of The Potracers were sick (two of them had even to stay in bed) so that the remaining one didn't send a Christmas e-card. She's doing it this way now and says thank you for the Christmas e-mail. The patients are doing much better now.

Happy enjoyed Christmas together with many other TBs. He liked the big Christmas tree, but the little one even more. Moreover, he met Erwin Elk and was allowed to ride an old rocking horse.

And special thanks to Enomis who drove a long way to deliver Happy behind the frog pond. And wasn't it amazing that they did it exactly on the weekend when we were there? Out last visit was three weeks ago.

How wonderful! Happy arrived at his goal, "Hinterm Froschteich / Behind the frog pond", the Potracers have retrieved him, and he has met Rock-a-doodle, a TB that we carried with us for a short while when we visited Germany in 2005. Amazingly, Happy started his travels at "The Froggy Convention" on December 10, 2006, and he arrived at his destination less than one year later, on December 9, 2007.
Many thanks to everyone who helped Happy along the way. Special thanks to tobsas, who found Happy in Vermont, USA, took him on a tour in the mid-west, carried him across the Atlantic, took him to Switzerland, and finally placed him in Germany.

It's incredible: There he is!!!

What an experience! We were meeting Grandma and Grandpa in Garmisch this weekend. Coming back from Eibsee on Sunday afternoon, when it was getting dark, we checked our mails before leaving. We could hardly believe what we saw: Happy, the friendly frog had arrived in our cache.

Instead of driving home, the grown-up Potracers pulled their skiing suits on, took their biggest flashlights and went up to the frog pond in the dark. It was the first time that we saw our cache location in the night. We didn't know that the cache could be recommended as a night cache. The view to Garmisch and the new ski jump was beautiful.

Luckily we knew exactly where the cache was. We were just a little afraid that someone could have taken Happy before we arrived. But there he really was.

Thanks to the nice owners who sent him to us. Thanks to everybody who helped him to reach his goal and thanks for all photos taken.

We realized only now that we forgot to upload the pictures we took when Happy accompanied us to Switzerland some months ago. We added them to our log of June 7th for the cache Welcome To Paradise - "Les Bisses".
