Karius and Baktus are to endearing troll-like bacteria living in a young boy's mouth. They lead a comfortable existence in their abodes in cavities that they have made in young Jens's teeth. However, when their activities start to cause their host pain, danger looms for the two charmingly sadistic fellows in the guise of a toothbrush and a dentist...and finally the dentist and the toothbrush got them out.....
And now they are looking for a new home.........maybe in your teeth?

Thorbjørn Egner (1912-90), writer of children stories and illustrator, is much loved among generations of Norwegians and has had a huge influence on children's literature in Norway. He wrote elementary school books. His books have also been adapted for theatre.
His works are translated to many languages and continue to capture children's imagination across the world.
