This coin’s mission is to travel from cache to cache to raise awareness and promote the benefits of Prescribed Fire. Prescribed Fire restores health to fire-adapted environments, creates and promotes resilient landscapes, and improves wildlife habitat.
This is 1 of 100 geocoins released by the Texas A&M Forest Service in October 2015. On one side is the Texas A&M Forest Service logo and on the other is a brightly colored prescribed fire logo. This is the second geocoin campaign promoted by TFS.
