  • Fishin' Statue This is in the park where I dropped off the 'bug.
  • Golden Ponds These are the ponds, after the sun came out and it got cheery. On a clear day, the mountains are very beautiful from here. Can't see them on this day because it was overcast to the west.

This cache took me back to the same area where I used to fish (once) snag crawdads when I was a boy. It's been a long time since I've been back. So many changes!

When I lived nearby, it was a sand and gravel mine. That's where the lakes come from. Also the piles of sand and gravel that still lie around the site, though they're much smaller than they were when I used to climb to the top of them with my friends and slide or run down them. Looks like there are more birds around too. I saw a flock of seagulls, numerous ducks, some geese, and what I think was a double-crested cormorant.

And for the first time ever, I saw actual fish in Clear Creek here. I used to catch them out of the borrow ponds, but never saw them in the creek.

Obtained this from TalkingHands as we met looking for a cache in Edina, MN. We had a happy time looking for this cache along with gpcat. After TalkingHands found the cache we finished up with a group photo. Good Times....
