Current Goal

My third goal is to visit places all over the world where scouts and guides are gathering or have been gathering.

If you are or have been a boy/girl scout/guide, please tell so in the log. Photos of your uniform or a camp fire etc. is also appreciated.

*I want to thank all of you who helped TB Girl Guide in the attempt to reach the world jamboree even though it did not succeed in getting there.
* I also want to thank all of you who helped TB Girl Guide to reach its second goal: Brownsea Island where Lord Robert Baden-Powell arranged the very first scout camp in August 1907, 101 years ago. A special thank to KernowPixi who actually placed the TB in the cache GC23AD "BP's Brownsea Island".

TB Girl Guide joined the Landsting in Ulsteinvik, Norway April 13. – 15. 2007. Landsting is the most important meeting in the organization; here we elect our national leaders and our laws.

There are no caches in Ulsteinvik, Norway, so it couldn’t be logged there. Next stop is the airport cache in Bergen: Bergen Travel Bug hotel.

This is the next cache I would want you to visit. The WM-house next to this cache is where the YWCA-YMCA guides and scouts are located. But this cache is a micro, and you won’t fit in.

Now you have been at home. (I told you this place was to small.) It's time to go out in the big world and meet other geocachers, scouts and guides.

I will also show you the KM-huset (WM-house, WM as in YWCA / YMCA) in Haugesund.

This is the cache where I wanted you to start your journey. Some years ago we had a local scout and guide-camp here. This is a very fine area for camps and daily outings, and the schools in the area are here often. And also Scouts and Guides use this area for camps and weekends. Here we can swim or paddle canoes in the lake, go hiking, build a camp site, play foot ball and volley ball, etc.
The only draw back with the place is the tiny mosquitoes. At our camp we had a competition: Who has the most mosquitoes bites? Sadly, I won. The others told me I had a hundred bites just in my face. (I wonder who taught them to count.)
