"Whacha doin'?" Patch

This nice blue travel bug patch was a birthday gift from my caching partner in crime and one of the most important people in my life...my dear friend, SnoopyRocks.  I've named it how many of our caching adventures begin.  One of us will text the other...."Whacha doin? There's a cache I want to go get...." and most times, off we go.

This Travel Patch is my third caching companion. Starting in July 2012 I got my first travel patch and had it hanging on my purse.  It went to all the caches I did. (TB4Z1JA) totalling 20710 miles until on December 22, 2015 when the leather luggage tag that it was held in fell from my purse either in the hospital where my mother was or the restaurant next door.  I keep hoping that one day someone will find it and return it to me. At our local meet and greet in August, I won a trackable at a the raffle and it was Star Wars themed so I had to let one of little cachers trade the Seahorse she got. (TB6AG2D) and I added Simon to my purse and it has been traveling around with me until this week. Now, it will hitchhike with Friendly Manitoba TLN2P4RK. 

My soul sister lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We randomly met at a Jets game when I went to Winnipeg to see the Kings play in 1988. Over the past 28 years, our friendship surpassed friends and became more like sisters.  

On one of our trips together, she introduced me to geocaching. Denver, CO in March 2011. A new cacher was born. She explained travel bugs and I started to follow one hers to see how it worked. (Friendly Manitoba).

A few months back, I see it was picked up by a geocacher I've had contact with before! While he lives in WA he travels down here periodically so I took a chance. I reached out to him and jackpot! Another terrific person met through geocaching that was more than happy to hold onto this travel bug until he came this way again.

Now I've sent them both off, Friendly Manitoba and Simon the Seahorse, to travel around together, just like K and I. 
SO NOW this meaningful gift patch will assume the role of travel companion on my bag.
