The 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade (AASLT) '7 december' is the Dutch Air Assault Brigade. It is stationed in the Arnhem area, in which the Operation Market Garden took place. The soldiers feel a strong connection with this history, wearing their red barets with pride!
In its nearly 25 year history, personel the 11th Brigade was deployed to Bosnia, Cyprus, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Macedonia, Burundi, Ruwanda, Congo, Uganda and currently in Mali
This coin was minted and handed out to all the soldiers of the Brigade Staff and Staff Company, as a token of appreciation by their commander. A few were send on mission as ambassadors of this excellent unit to meet soldiers and military places. around the world.
