All Hallows Eve (Halloween Compass Rose Geocoin)

yay, Halloween!!!!  I love Halloween.  I'm not even sure I can sufficiently explain why.

I love the costumes and masks and getting to pretent to be someone or something you're not!   It's a nice little fantasy excursion where I can be a pirate (I've been a wench) or a character from STAR WARS (I've been both Princess Leia and a high-heel-wearing Jawa).  I've been Cleopatra (complete with rubber asp) and the Big Bad Wolf (complete with the Three Little Wigs...get it?).  I was Batgirl when I was little, but with a completely customized OOAK purple outfit.  I've been Scarilyn Monroe (the zombie version--my friend was Skelvis).  I've been Velam (to my friend's Shaggy). I've been Elvira and a viking and in several different decades I've taken on different versions of a black cat.  

I need to give full props though to just costuming itself!  Halloween used to be the only excuse to dazzle and cosplay, but now there are conventions and other cosplay opportunities to let your fandom (and constuming talents) fly.  I have a semi-signinficant collection of costumes and costuming elelements--wigs, gloves, tons of Victorian/steampunk dreses.  TONS of shoes and boots for all purposes.  Masks.  Props.  Love them all!

To be fair, I love Halloween on it's own, too, aside from the costumes and cosplay and role play.  I love skepetons and bats and spiders and pumpkins and black cats.  I like wearing spooky T-shirts and spooky jewelry and goth makeup for a month--and no one questions me.

This Halloween compass rose (replete with grinning jack-o-lanterns) needs to travel to Halloween-themes caches and events!  and as a nod to that, I am retroasctively activating this geocoin to Halloween Day!!!
