Home to Germany!

Originally, I was called "North to Alaska!" My goal was to make it to Alaska and back. Well I did that in record time! My next goal was to make it to Italy and the Roman Coliseum. Thanks to many travelers I've now completed that goal! So what's next? I want to travel to the home country of my ancestors...Germany. I want to travel to Brenz an der Brenz. It is a borough of the village of Sontheim in the Heidenheim District of Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany, about 30 miles East of Stuttgart. Brenz an der Brenz was an independent village until it merged with Sontheim, which was also absorbed into Heidenheim.
 

Whoever takes the bug there, please try to get a photo of the Market Square, which included, in the attached photos: Galluskirche, (the church where my Gr. Grandfather was confirmed as a child), Schloss Brenz (which is a castle, and was used as a school when my Great Grandpa lived there),  and the Gasthaus Hirsch. The pictures are from postcards he sent back to home on a trip to Brenz in 1903. A lot has changed since then, but I hope the above structures will still be in the old town of Brenz area.

After I have completed this journey I would like to stay in the Country of Germany and travel around. Gr Grandpa's family also came from Reutlingen and Esslingen, so it would be nice to visit there too. Happy and safe travels.

Ursprünglich war ich als "North to Alaska!" Mein Ziel war es nach Alaska und zurück machen. Nun, ich tat das in Rekordzeit! Mein nächstes Ziel war es, sie nach Italien und der römischen Kolosseum zu machen. Dank der vielen Reisenden habe ich jetzt, dass Ziel abgeschlossen! Also, was kommt als nächstes? Ich will in die Heimat meiner Vorfahren ... Deutschland reisen. Ich möchte mit Brenz an der Brenz reisen. Es ist ein Stadtteil der Gemeinde Sontheim im Landkreis Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg in Deutschland, etwa 30 Meilen östlich von Stuttgart. Brenz an der Brenz war eine selbständige Gemeinde, bis er mit Sontheim, die auch in Heidenheim absorbiert wurde zusammengeführt.

Wer sich die Fehler gibt, versuchen Sie bitte ein Foto von dem Marktplatz, die enthalten sind, in den beigefügten Fotos zu bekommen: Galluskirche, (die Kirche, wo mein Großvater Gr als Kind bestätigt wurde.), Schloss Brenz (was ein Schloss ist, und wurde als Schule, als meine große Opa lebte), und dem Gasthaus Hirsch verwendet. Die Bilder sind von Postkarten schickte er zurück nach Hause auf einer Reise nach Brenz im Jahr 1903. Vieles hat sich seitdem verändert, aber ich hoffe, die oben genannten Strukturen werden immer noch in der Altstadt von Brenz-Bereich sein.

Nachdem ich diese Reise abgeschlossen haben, möchte ich in dem Land von Deutschland zu bleiben und herumreisen. Gr Opas Familie kam auch aus Reutlingen und Esslingen, also wäre es schön, dort zu besuchen. Alles Gute und sichere Reise.
