Do you know the symptoms of a Stroke? Well if not we have an acronym for you. 

B.E.F.A.S.T.

BALANCE: A sudden loss in balance.

Eyes: A loss of vision in one or both eyes.

Facial Droop: Dose the persons face look uneven? or droop on one side when smiling?

Arm Drift: Have the patient hold out theyre arms in front of them. Close their eyes and count to 10. See if one arm drifts down.

speech: A sudden slurring in speech. Have the patient repeat this phrase: "The sky is always blue in Cincinnati" or "Dont cry over spilled milk".

Time: When was the patient last seen "normal". Time is the most critical element. If you think someone is having a stroke or stroke like symptoms call 911 immidiately. 

Strokes dont only happen to the elderly, they can occure to anyone at any age.
