This explorer's goal is to get to the Strait of Magellan near the southern tip of Sourth America. Please also take lots of picture of the places I visit along the way and post them in the gallery/logs.
Ferdinand Magellan is credited the first person to travel around the world. He was born around 1480 in Portugal to a noble family. His first large scale trip was when he joined a Portuguese fleet and went to East Africa where he later attacked a Malacca port and got a servant named Enrique. When he returned he was falsely accused for trading illegally with the moors, but eventually he was just sent to spain. Ferdinand's most famous trip is when he took a fleet of 5 ships and 250 men and ended up sailing around the world, Magellan never got back because he was killed in The Philippines by a poison arrow on April 27,1521 when they finally got back home only 8 out of the 250 men returned.
