Ahoy me mates! Ye`ve found me at last! I be Pika`s Plunder, a piece o' th' fabled booty o' th' dreaded Blackbeard! I desire above all else t' visit as many booty troves as possible in me pursuit t' visit me homeport in England an' return t' me restin' place in glorious shores o' North Carolina. Along th' way, takes as many images as possible t' prove me journey.
Blackbeard was the nickname of Edward Teach, a notorious English pirate who had a short reign of terror in the Caribbean Sea between 1716 and 1718, during a period of time referred to as the Golden Age of Piracy. His best known vessel was the Queen Anne's Revenge, which is believed by some to have run aground near Beaufort Inlet, North Carolina in 1718.
As a native of Eastern North Carolina, I have grown up with tales of the notorious Blackbeard. More can be read about Blackbeard by visiting (visit link)

Out picking up a quick cache after going grocery shopping while my mother in law watched the kids. I didn't have much time, so I chose a cache with a pretty easy rating that was marked as a "lunchtime cache". Found my first Travel Bug inside! I live only 5 minutes from the spot I found it near some abandoned railroad tracks. Can't wait to see where the little critter ends up!

We are new to Geocaching and I was amazed to find a travel bug in the second cache we have ever found. My wife was searching through the cache and held it up with the comment "What's this?" I almost fell over. After I caught my breath, I described travel bugs to her and how they are used. Rest assured we will take good care of Pika's Plunder until we deposit him in the next step of his journey. I have an upcoming visit to the Carolina's and wouldn't it be great if I could place it him back near his home?
