    On our way to Paris by train we lucked upon a pair of very friendly London Bobbies who were more than happy to meet with us and Captain Friendly. When in Paris the Gendarmes looked decidedly unfriendly and trying to explain why we wanted a photo with them and the captain may have been a bit much for this non French speeking Aussie.
