Although our friend Indian has lost his horse somewhere in his travels, he has not lost heart! He continues to explore the Wild West. His visit in the Rocky Hills Cache in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, near Las Vegas, Nevada, was very eventful. From his hiding place he could see an ancient agave roasting pit used by Native Americans many many moons ago. He could imagine the ancient desert people, harvesting the yucca plant and roasting the sweet-tasting hearts of the agave. In his mind's eye, he could see them gathering together and performing their rituals by the fire. He felt close to Mother Earth, sharing shelter with Grey Fox, Squirrel, Big Horn Sheep and Tortoise. His adventure will continue soon as he rides south, courtesy of the modern horse that consumes gasoline. Many more tales to come....

June 20,20011.
Indian visited London Bridge, Lake Havasu City and his Haulapai friends briefly before returning to Las Vegas for some plastic surgery. His neck had been bothering him for some time and Kirk51 performed cervical fusion with the aid of some super glue. Kirk51 also found a brave horse for Indian and although the horse does not have a TB number, perhaps he will be allowed to accompany Indian on his travels.
Indian decided to rest at Motel Stix-Korn Kreek since it is near a lovely desert oasis which was surely visited by Native Americans in the past. Safe travels to our friend Indian!
