This was such a fun kayak trip! My hubby, daughter and I enjoyed a hot summer-weather day to kayak this loop and try to get some geocaches at the same time. This was our first time attempting to find geocaches while in a kayak and unfortunately, we struck out on the first 6. Finally we spotted this one in the branches!! We tried to attempt all of them, but only found #7 and 9. However, that may be due to our inexperience of geocaching on the water! It was a beautiful adventure with TONS of turtles (a few really big ones too!). I counted eight turtles on one log! We saw birds, geese and even a muskrat. The Canadian geese by the launch point had lots of adorable fluffy goslings waddling behind the parents. The river was very high after all the rain and there were a few bridges we had to duck to get under, but the last bridge had us wondering if we would fit! We had to lay flat on our kayaks, turn our heads sideways and push our way along the bottom of the bridge to navigate through! We barely made it under!! LOL! It was a fun adventure!
