Current Goal

I am part of an art project of the Monat der Fotografie (Month Of Photograpy) in Hof, Germany. I want to travel very far - if possible to all continents.

I have a single-use camera with me which should be used one time by every finder!

It would be nice to be back in a cache near Hof (Germany) or Kulmbach (Germany) in summer 2008 to have the photos developed before a exhibition with the pictures shot with the camera takes part in November 2008.

After the exhibition at the month of photography in November 2008 the complete exhibition should travel again ;o)

If you are interested in setting up a exhibition in your city, please ´get in contact with us!

We are off to New York tomorrow and will bring this TBG along. If any city can make a TB move, it has to be the The Big Apple.

We took our picture today (still 16 left on the camera). The picture is taken from the south side of the North Sasakatchewan River (which finds its source at the Columbia Glacier in the Rocky Mountains.

It is a shot of two of our four kids with (we hope!) a cityscape of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in the background. There should be the tops of two-four glass pyramids which is the Muttart Conservatory. The Conservatory is a four biosphere plant repository. Nothing like visiting the "desert" at 30 below zero!

Edmonton was made the capital of the new Province of Alberta (over it's better known and ongoing rival to the south, Calgary) in 1905. It remains the gateway to the Arctic and once was a gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush of the 1890's in the Yukon Territory (not the best one mind you!). The City is the current gateway to the diamond fields which have replaced most other mining in significance in the Arctic. It is a beautiful four season city which retains all of the attributes of a stereotypical Canadian city with a vibrant arts scene, cosmopolitan population, and safe streets. Our city is one of the most economically successful places on the continent. The kids are representative of the connection between the South (my daughter was born in Edmonton) and the North (my son was born in Yellowknife)

Well, I was certainly reminded about the cardinal rule of caching....9 metres might SEEM close, but beware the water/cliffs/ etc in that distant. A bit of a hik...worth every step. Ended up circumnavigating the the trail...something I would not normally do.

Grabbed the camera bug and promise to move it some place new (I go to wierd places).

If the originator needs it back (currently 17 shots not including mine), let me know through this site and I will send it to you (I see you are hoping to display the shots in 2008)

This location is the perfect spot for a camera so I simply discovered it, took it out and show it the view and then returned it to the security of the cache. I don't think my next destination would be able to top that view. Thanks.

Retrieved this bug today from Canyon Cache. Took one picture at Worsley Park of the pond, the Atlantic Ocean, 3 men fishing for sea trout and "Little Belle Island" in the background. Hope the picture comes out good. Will move the bug very soon. There now appears to be 18 pictures left on the film. Hope it makes it back to Germany in time for the art exibition. Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this one.
