UPDATE APRIL 23 2008:

MY OWNER WILL RETIRE ON 31 JANUARY 2009. I REALLY NEED TO START MOVING BACK TO ARIZONA NOW. PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!

This travel bug and attached MIlitary coin for excellence wish to travel the world. Please don't place me on mountain tops or out of the way locations, I want to travel to as many places as possible, including oversea locations. I would like to make it home by January 31st 2009 because that is the date my owner retires from the Army. What a great retirement present I will be after my travels.

UPDATE 1/24/08: It is just about a year until my owner retires from the Army. I'd really like to start making my way back to Sierra Vista Arizona now.

About This Item

This coin was presented by the Commander of the 306th MI Bn at Fort Huachuca Arizona. The 306th is now deactivated, so the coin is special to me. The Buffalo Soldier is representative of the first all black cavalry regiment which served with great distinction during the Indian Wars in the southwest and also participated in the "punitive expedition" with Lt. John J. Pershing in the hunt for Pancho Via.
