Current Goal

Gaspar loves anything having to do with the sea and the ships that sail it. His favorite activities are diving (he's always wanted to do some dives in the Great Lakes!) and just piddling around in boats. Please take him on all of your diving and boating adventures or just take pictures of him on or near big ships, I'd be interested to see where he goes.

About This Item

Gaspar_Jr

Gaspar is named after José Gaspar the legendary pirate who roamed the coasts of Florida in the 18th & early 19th century. Each February the city of Tampa plays host to the Gasparilla Pirate Fest to celebrate the invasion and looting of the city (??). This year is the 100th anniversary of Gasparilla so I felt it was only appropriate to start Gaspar Jr. on his journey after his namesake invades Tampa Bay tommorow morning.

Okay...I've read through the logs and haven't seen anyone else ask it so I will- WHO CELEBRATES THE INVASION AND LOOTING OF THEIR CITY BY PIRATES?
Gaspar Jr. is pretty cute- I'm thinking he must've been a skateboarder prior to being a diver (Tech Deck?). Living in Washington, we have lots of water and therefore, lots of ships and boats. I'll try to take some pics of Jr. and then send him on his way!
