Found this one last week, while visiting the old “Commandobunker” in Kemmel, which was used from 1956 until 1995, and had a staff of 200 to keep it fully operational. Impressive site to visit..

Polygon Wood is known for several severe battles during WWI, and there are many memorials in and around this forest, like The Black Watch Corner, or Buttes Cemetary itself, but I think the most special one is the “Brothers in Arms Memorial”, dedicated to the brothers Jim & John Hunter.
I recommend everyone to look it up on the internet, and learn about their story…..🪖

Did this cache almost a week ago, but still very much to log a visit for this TB 😁. Superb place for my 1111th cache, and how symbolic, at the “Monument to the Discoveries”. I’m sure Vasco Da Gama was a geocacher back in his days as well...... 😁🗺🌎
