🌅 Land Run Rhymes Discovery 🌅
The sunrise painted skies of gold,
While Huggles44 and I were brave and bold.
GPS in hand, our spirits high,
With smileys waiting by and by.
We hydrated well, then heated right up,
Cooling back down with another cold cup.
The Oklahoma sunshine gave it its best,
But geocaching fun outshined the rest!
The Land Run Mega called our name,
A gathering of cachers all chasing the same.
The amazing host team planned with care,
Filling the weekend with fun to spare.
Events and adventures around each bend,
Old friends reunited, new ones to befriend.
Their hard work showed in all they'd done,
Helping make the Mega second to none.
We cached like folks a little unhinged,
On every trail our laughter binged.
A puzzle here, a hide just so,
"Found it!" became the phrase we'd know.
Some hides were sneaky, some played coy,
But every one brought geojoy.
The miles rolled by with stories to tell,
Each cache another adventure as well.
The sunsets often slipped away,
We'd cached ourselves out by the end of the day.
Too tired to watch the evening's glow,
Dreaming of tomorrow's places to go.
Whenever I could, I left behind,
A Shareable gift, a token kind.
A little thank-you from me to you,
For all the work that cache owners do.
So thanks, dear CO, for this wonderful hide,
Another bright spot along the ride.
Your cache became part of memories grand,
Made during our unforgettable Land Run stand.
To the Mega hosts, a heartfelt cheer,
Thanks for the welcome year after year.
Your planning, smiles, and countless hours,
Bloomed into geocaching's finest flowers.
May your containers stay dry, your logs stay neat,
May every finder think your hide's a treat.
