Parka's mission is to go back to Banff National Park (Canada) and visit his friends.
Our 2017 summer holidays were a once-in-a-liftime (but hopefully I'm wrong about this) trip to Alberta and British Columbia. During our stay in Banff, we searched for some geocaches. Apparently, when you pick some official Banff National Park geocaches, you can claim an BNP Geocoin. This is what we did. More information can be found on the official Banff National Park website.
Back in Belgium, we wanted to do something with the geocoin. Because we wanted to connect our Belgian roots with the Canadian coin, we attached a Belgian Origin travel bug to it. This is the start of Parka his adventures back to Canada. Parka is the name of the BNP mascotte.
Please be carefull with Parka, give him whatever he needs, and put him back in the next (save) geocache as soon possible on his oversees trip...
