I had always wanted to look around the area which this Travel Bug was located, and this cache gave me that opportunity.
I have lived in this part of South Jersey my whole life(minus a few years), and I have driven under this Trestle so many times. I had always wondered what the area looked like on the "up side" since I had only traveled under it my whole life. Tonight was my first time actually getting to go over the bridge and explore the tracks and the area surrrounding. I intend on returning to this area very soon to walk further down the tracks and see the beautiful sights of the place that I call home in the pinelands.
For anyone who lives in this area, and has not been to this cache yet, I would recommend it, just for the solitude that this trail will bring to you. It seems to be very tranquil in this area, with very little interruption of traffic sounds. When we arrived tonight, there were the sounds of frogs chirping in the trees, and a low rustle of leaves blowing on their branches. If that doesn't bring you a sense of solitude, then you just haven't taken the time to really appreciate what the South Jersey Pinelands has to offer you.
