About This Item

TB.jpg

Thanks to Torry (and Lulu) for coming up with such an imaginative and creative name, this TB used to be called the Pyewagon. Its hitchhiker *used* to be a wheelchair. However comma...instead of riding around on this TB, it's now going to be riding around on me.

I've had several life-altering experiences after another lately, and they've allowed me to change my reality. Should I still be in the wheelchair? Probably. Instead, I'm going to walk whenever possible. What's the worst that can happen? Bones pop/crack/break, and I end up...back in the chair. Until then, every painful step and slow lumber is a reminder that, right now, I'm living my life. That's more fun than riding around in a souped-up wheelchair. Shame on me for not learning this lesson sooner, but it's a lesson I've learned well. Life is too short to allow it to pass by in a blur. Slow down, and really experience what it has to offer. Be strong enough in spirit not to be dragged down by negative sources, including your own. I did, for far too long. I let my own negativity control me and shape who I used to be. I'm not that person anymore. Goodbye, and good riddance...long live the King. :)

Retrieve It from a Cache 3/19/2005 Pyewacket retrieved it from End of the Road South Carolina   Visit Log

I've been carrying a TB around which is a memorial to the friend of the Elfstone cachers. It is my sincere hope that the next finder will help Elf continue his travels and adventures; he's a very special TB, indeed. I'm also logging into and out of my new cache the Pyewagon and TiredIron's GeoBash Trekker #2.

Retrieve It from a Cache 2/22/2005 Pyewacket retrieved it from R.I.P. - The Forgotten South Carolina   Visit Log

Emperor Guido and I searched and searched for this cache, but even after reading the clue and being in the right area, we couldn't find anything that remotely resembled a cache. If it's still there, it's a very clever hide indeed. It was dark by the time we left...an eerie place to be at night, but cool, nonetheless; especially with a full moon hanging low in the sky. It is sad, however, how this place and its inhabitants have been ignored and forgotten. 😟

I was surprised at the amount of traffic here. For such a remote location, at least three vehicles went by while we were there. Hopefully the cache hasn't been muggled, though if it is missing, I'd suspect an animal (or a ghost) "spirited" it away.

Retrieve It from a Cache 2/22/2005 Pyewacket retrieved it from The Pee Dee TB Lodge South Carolina   Visit Log

I guess I didn't find the clue that would help me locate the cache, either, because I looked and looked, then looked some more for this cache. I did see the reference to the cache location, but that wasn't any help. My GPSr kept zeroing out, but if the cache was there, it was invisible. I'd hoped to drop the Elf TB here for the next cacher to move along, but I guess he'll be hanging around with me a bit longer. I thought the location was really cool, and the creative additions to the site are funny...only a cacher would realize what they mean.

Retrieve It from a Cache 2/22/2005 Pyewacket retrieved it from Freedom's Ring South Carolina   Visit Log

I couldn't get close enough this to find it, but I did my best to search the area anyway while Emperor Guido snoozed in the van after his medical procedure. I did see a giant slug in a hole in a tree. I thought it was a snake at first, but he moved too sluggishly. 😉

I really tried to ignore this cache and its twin. However comma...as my MeriGold ticked down the miles to both the radio station to pick up a tee shirt Emperor Guido won and the hospital where he was to have his medical procedure, I just couldn't resist logging another cache. In my defense, I'll just say that Cheesy Dave is a friend of mine in the Cheers forum thread, and that's the real reason we stopped for this one...not because I'm a geocaching addict. Not me...nope. I double dog dare the next cacher who comes close to keep from logging it. 😉
