This is our first geocoin, so it will not be released to the wild. It will travel with us on our geocaching excursions, and will still see the world, one cache at a time.

About This Item

On one side of this geocoin is a miniature image of the plaque that has been placed at the location of the very first geocache, which was hidden by Dave Ulmer on May 3, 2000 near Beaver Creek, Oregon. From this simple act came the birth of geocaching, and as of mid-2006 there are almost 300,000 caches in 222 countries around the world.
