Today is April 15, 2020. I'm in Otsego county, in upstate NY, USA. Today is day 31 of the COVID-19 lockdown. Schools are closed for the rest of the scool year. College testing is canceled. Sports are canceled. All non-essential businesses are closed. They keep count of people in stores, and you may have to wait for people to come out so you can go in. The governor made an order for everyone to wear a mask if you leave your house. He also said our pause was extended until May 15th. For the first time ever our General Clinton Canoe Regatta, which is held Memorial Day weekend, and drew contestants from all over the world, was canceled. It would have been the 58th year of the race, which is the world's longest flat water race. The regatta ran from Cooperstown, NY, (the birthplace of baseball) to Bainbridge, NY, a total of 70 miles on the Susquehanna River.
