Current Goal

We would like to learn the approximate temperature at each cache as the TB is moved, using the built in thermometer. Please note and include that data in your TB log. We would prefer that the TB stay in the upper two-state tier across the northern U.S.

9/18/04 We just took the TB to several caches and found that the thermometer wasn't reading reliably. Therefore, we're going to drop the request to log the temperature, there's no point if it's off by 20-30 degrees. The rest of the mission will remain unchanged.

I retrieved this on a cold December day. I think the thermostat is off by close to ten degrees as the past logs have shown. The TB read 40 degrees F but it was definately below freezing today. I like the idea, it's too bad we have to guesstimate the temp.

Found this one on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The temperature in the woods read 50°, but I think it was cooler in the shade.

We found this in a very small cache and were surprised to see a but in there. About 52 degrees on this beautiful morning. Off to another cache and will drop the temp.

This little TB was exposed to Da Yoopers today. We're not sure he was ready for that! Photos later upon our return.

Temperature showed 80 degrees, we're beginning to think the thermometer is inaccurate.
