Current Goal

To travel wherever Rubber Duckie goes, at least that way he'll have company if he gets lost! Heading in a Southerly direction, both ducks would like to visit the great lakes of the world.

To date we have released 5 duck travel bugs into the wild:

Lumi Duck went missing in October 03 having travelled over 8000 miles

Squeaky and Squirty set out in May 03 to race in the UK Travel Bug race. Unfortunately Squirty is now missing but Squeaky continues to make his way around the UK although the race has now been won by Bob the Builder.

Lou Lou Lumi Ducky went missing in January 04 having travelled only 468 miles

Finally Fluffy Duck was released in March 04 with the expressed aim of staying close to home in the South East of the UK. The second person to pick him up whisked him away to Germany and he has been touring round Germany ever since!

We picked up Rubber Duckie in Yorkshire and he looked so cute and lonely that we thought we'd attach another duck and travel bug to him to make a pair of twins which can both be logged into and out of caches together. Please don't separate him from his long lost twin, they can keep each other company on the cold and lonely nights.

Unfortunately Lucky Rubber Duckie was not quite so lucky as he went missing between 19th September and 28th December 2009. He'd been placed in Burris Chapel Cemetry in Indiana but the cache box was found to be empty on 28th December after a few months with no finds. Let's hope Lucky Rubber Duckie has found somewhere nice to live, with all my other issing Duckies!

Grabbed this little guy from RickBlick. He said he took some pics but we'll see if we can take some more! Checked on his traveling buddy & it looks like he has gone missing. That's so sad. Maybe this little guy will meet up with a new friend. In fact, I think we have the perfect spot to place him where I'm sure he'll make lots of friends.

Well now, we live up near a couple great lakes -- Michigan and Superior. We'll see if we can get Duckie near them for a spell.
