Hi again!
We came to Leif Erickson Park because Owen wanted to do some unicycling this afternoon. The Floods had found this cache on a previous trip, too, but they wanted me to see the cool views of the lake from the park. We couldn’t stay long because a storm was rolling in. See the bridge in the distance?

Dear Ole and Anna,

This weekend I am in Duluth, Minnesota. Esme and Owen’s Great Aunt and Great Uncle have a cabin on Lake Superior and it’s one of their favorite places to visit in the summer. We did a little caching in Canal Park, though this one we had found on a previous trip. We can only figure out how to attach one photo at a time so I’ll need to do a couple of logs to show you some of the sights. This one is near the Aerial Lift Bridge. Sometimes Owen and Esme get to see 1000 foot ore boats go under it!

Love,
Fridolin

Hi Anna and Ole,
I have been enjoying Minnesota! Today is the Fourth of July, the day that the United States celebrates its independence. I am waiting with Esme and Owen for the fireworks to start. There are a lot of mosquitoes out so I'm glad I am a ghost! Next week, Owen and Esme are taking me on the train from St. Paul to Washington DC. We are going to a family reunion near New York City. I think I may want to find a cache to stay there to continue my adventures.

Love,
Fridolin

Fridolin noticed right away that we’re not in Iceland anymore. It’s 90 degrees (F) and climbing! This huge pink elephant is a common stop for people driving from Chicago to the Twin Cities. Esme and Owen have been here several times on road trips. It will take us a few more hours to get to St. Paul.

One last stop before heading to the airport. Can you guess where we are? There's a dino in the picture. Esme was sad to accidentally drop it over the edge into the rushing water just a short while later. Oops! It's on to a new adventure...

Anna and Ole, Fridolin made a friend today. Meet the Black Piratduck, also from Germany! There was a Minnesota Twins pin in the cache and since we are returning to St. Paul this evening, we took this as a sign that we should all travel together to the Land of 10,000 Lakes to show you some of our favorite hometown spots.

Visited the glacier and a cache on a hill by a quiet pool. Esme is a Girl Scout and we took a photo for you of the Girl Guide patch inside.
