Current Goal

My Grandson Julius recently created his own "Flat Stanley" and had me take it around for travel and have adventures.  For two weeks Flat Stanley had fun traveling to Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.  He hiked, visited a bog, crawled into a Beaver Lodge, and came face-to-face with a tarantula.  Rode a caboose, racecar, tractor, and bike.  Went kayaking, swimming, geocaching and climbing.   He had fun with family and made knew friends.  Then he returned to Julius to tell all his stories.   As part of his adventure it was Julius’ wish that Flat Stanley would go to China.   He did have a Chinese dinner but was not able to make it to China.   As a continuation of his journey Opa, his Grandma, (myself) promised that he could travel with the help of his mini-me.   That is the trackable that you have now retrieved.   Please help Flat Stanley and Julius make it to China.  And please share all of his adventures along the way.   It would mean a lot to have pictures of each step of his journey.   When he makes it to China pictures of his adventure there would be most appreciated.  Thank you for caring for him and helping this dream come true.

About This Item

The Flat Stanley Project is an educational project that was started in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a 3rd grade teacher from London, Canada.  The first children's book, Flat Stanley was published in 1964 with many more to follow, highlighting all of his adventures around the world.   Children often connect with Flat Stanley as part of a school project.  They receive their own Flat Stanley cutout that they design and dress (color) to their own liking.  They may choose to take him on adventures or send to someone else to take on adventures.  Flat Stanley's story is then told by the traveler including photos and souvenirs.  Flat Stanley returns in a set period of time, usually a couple weeks and his story is shared with the rest of the child's class. Please DO NOT hold on to OR take on tour stops, BUT keep it moving so that he can reach his destination (China).   Allow others to join the fun by sharing him.

The preference would be to drop off in travel bug hotels where he will most likely be picked up by experienced TB cachers.  Thank you for all your help.
