GOALS:

3. The Legacy of Country Legends GC5Y6MD (Dauphin, MB)

For my trackables, I managed to find some small rubber duck toys to attach the tags to. For me this is part of the fun of setting loose a trackable, having it attached to a form of avatar which can help with the goal, in this case a ‘duck dash’.

The initial “goal” is to participate in the “Duck Dash” from July 20th till August 20th, 2016. The second and third goals keep the trackable moving after the event and hopefully will eventually bring them back to me for assessment and then send them out with new goals.

Originally I purchased the full set of tags and instead of sending them all to the same goal, I found 3 different goals and split them up which will spread them across North America, the last 2 legs are the same and bring them back to me. Being personalized lends the trackable to being photographed in different settings also (hint!).

Geocaching is full of “themes”, be it for power trails, individual caches, or in this case, a series of Trackables. Normally it seems these themes are of a somewhat happy event like a sporting team or musical groups but the theme of these is “Deadly Ducks” based on deadly sins.

There are several biblical sections that list sins so I picked one bible version to quote from: Galatians 5:19-23 International Standard Version (ISV) 19 Now the actions of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, rivalry, jealously, outbursts of anger, quarrels, conflicts, factions, 21 envy, murder, drunkenness, wild partying, and things like that. I am telling you now, as I have told you in the past, that people who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.

Just so I wouldn’t end with a low opinion of “man”, I have also included the last two verses that include the “Fruits of the Spirit” which follow salvation and I hope someday will also come out as Trackables.
